electric bikes used to be ugly, heavy and poorly engineered. In a word, clunky. But now a new generation of advanced swiss electric bikes has hit the streets.
The last generation of e-bikes were often poorly-designed lumps of steel with motors and batteries bolted on. They basically sucked. Even worse, trying to pick up one of these monstrously overweight machines might lead to a journey in a different sort of motor-powered vehicle - an ambulance, perhaps. Something wasn't right.
Electric cycle manufacturers in Swistzerland were among the first to tackle the problem of building better electric bikes.
